Saturday 6th
We drive to Dover for the short Channel crossing to Calais. Upon arrival, we continue to the Mercure Hotel, Metz
Centre for dinner and our overnight stay.
Sunday 7th
Continue into Austria arriving in St. Anton am Arlberg, for our 5-night stay.
Monday 8th
A full day at leisure in St. Anton. There's lots to do in the village and it's possible to take a cable car into the mountains
to enjoy lunch and stunning views.
Tuesday 9th
Full day to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol where we have a guided tour so you can see the main sights including the
historic old town with its legendary Golden Roof, the Hofburg, former imperial residence of the ruling Habsburgs and pretty
Maria Thereisenstraße. We continue to Wattens and the fabulous Swarovski Crystal World that celebrates the iconic crystal
manufacturing of the region and is one of Austria’s most popular attractions.
Wednesday 10th
We include a short Tour over the Arlberg Pass to show you the spectacular view from St. Christoph and the
exclusive resorts of Zürs and Lech.
Thursday 11th
Today we visit the tiny principality of Liechtenstein, the fourth smallest country in Europe, Squeezed tightly between
Austria and Switzerland, we visit the capital city Vaduz, which offers a variety of cultural sights as well - the museum of art, the
state museum, the postal museum and the art gallery Engländerbau - which offer a peek into the diversity of the principality.
Friday 12th
Depart Austria, travel through Switzerland, Germany and into France for dinner and our overnight stay at the Mercure
Hotel Metz Centre.
Saturday 13th
Departing Metz, we return to Calais for our sailing to Dover, returning to
Henley during the evening.
The Sporthotel is centrally situated and has over 50 bedrooms, all with private facilities, hairdryer, TV and telephone. there is a lounge area, bar, restaurant and outdoor cafe. The hotel also has a leisure centre including an indoor swimming pool and passenger lift serving all floors.
