This new tour to Glasgow is inspired by renowned Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, with excursions to Hill House a unique property designed by Charles in Glasgow Style and a visit to Mackintosh at the Willow, famous tea rooms designed in 1903 by the renowned architect. Our visit includes a cream tea in these famous tea rooms. We also take in the spectacular scenery of Loch Lomond and the Ayrshire coast with a visit to Culzean Castle.

Monday
We depart Henley in the morning, travelling to Glasgow and arrive late afternoon at the Glynhill Hotel & Spa for 4 nights stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Tuesday
Today we head into Glasgow and visit the superb Riverside Glasgow Transport Museum, an interactive museum that takes you on a journey through the history of transport. Afterwards, we make the short journey to the Mackintosh at the Willow. In 1903 the famous architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed the Willow Tea Rooms Building for Miss Cranston, one of his loyal Patrons. You will discover their story at the exhibition before sitting down for cream tea at the famous originally restored Mackintosh Tea Rooms.
Wednesday
Our day begins with a drive south to Ayr, a popular holiday resort. We have time here for a look around the town and maybe a seafront stroll and obtain lunch. We continue to spectacular Culzean Castle. in a stunning clifftop location near Turnberry. The castle offers much interest, with terraced gardens, woodland, ponds, a wildlife garden, a walled garden, and a deer park to explore.
Thursday
This morning we travel to Helensburgh and visit Hill House, a unique piece of architecture designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh in the 'Glasgow style'. Part of an ongoing conservation programme, the steel frame structure allows us to view the house in ways never seen before - not even by Mackintosh himself. Later we return making a stop at the Lomond Shores complex browse the shops, grab a bite to eat and have a look around Balloch a picturesque Scottish village on the foot of Loch Lomond.
Friday
Homeward bound.

The Glynhill Hotel & Spa is situated close to Glasgow city centre and is a perfect base to explore the surrounding areas.
