Normandy will forever be marked by the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy that led to the liberation of France and Europe. 2024 will mark the 80th Anniversary of this historic event, which marked the beginning of the liberation of France and Western Europe. Join us for an awe-inspiring journey as we follow in the footsteps of the over three hundred thousand Allied soldiers and personnel who took part in the Normandy Landings eighty years ago.

Sunday

We travel to Dover for our short sea crossing to Calais, continuing to the 4-star Novotel Caen, Cote de Nacre arriving in time for dinner & our 4-night stay.

Monday

On today’s excursion we discover many of the Memorials and War Cemeteries associated with the ‘British sector’ of the Normandy Landings - Sites we’ll see include:

Pegasus Bridge - Pegasus Bridge Memorial, Ranville War Cemetery, Sword Beach, Juno Beach, Gold Beach, The Normandy Memorial and Arromanches-les-Bains, including a guided tour of the D-Day Museum.

Tuesday

This morning we include an audio-guided tour of the wonderful Caen Peace Memorial. We continue to the nearby Bayeux War Cemetery followed by an afternoon visit to Bayeux where we include entrance to the Bayeux Tapestry Museum.

Wednesday

Today we drive to Omaha Beach, followed by a visit to St Mere Eglise. Next, we visit Utah Beach, followed by a visit to the Overlord Museum. In the afternoon we continue via the German Cemetery at La Cambe, before visiting the thought-provoking Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer

Thursday

Departing our hotel after breakfast we pause in picturesque Honfleur before returning to Calais for our early evening sailing back to the UK.
