Monday

We journey north into the Peak District, pausing for free time in beautiful Buxton, and admire the elegance of the Edwardian Opera House and pretty Pavilion Gardens. From here we continue to Shrigley Hall
Hotel for our 4-night stay.

Tuesday

We begin with a visit to Dunham Massey. Dating from 1732, the house has fine collections of furniture, paintings and silver. The gardens are stunning with a moat and orangery.
This afternoon we are at Arley Hall Gardens. The gardens are amongst the finest in the country, created over 250 years by successive generations.

Wednesday

The day starts with a drive into the historic city of Chester. The day is then free for you to explore. The unique 2 storey ‘Rows’ of shops are worth a look, or you may fancy a gentle stroll to the River Dee for a boat trip.

Thursday

This morning we make our way south to Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. In the afternoon we have our final visit, to magnificent Tatton Park. This stunning, historic estate is set in over 1000 acres of Cheshire Parkland

Friday

Departing after breakfast, we pause in Bakewell, before returning home in the afternoon.

4* Shrigley Hall Hotel, Pott Shrigley

Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa is an elegant Georgian country house, set in 262 acres of grounds in the village of Pott Shrigley, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Hotel facilities include a leisure centre with indoor infinity pool, steam room or whirlpool spa – all housed in what was a Salesian chapel, a courtyard bar & lounge. Guest rooms are en-suite and have TV, telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and lift access.
