We drive north to Skipton - 'Gateway to the Dales.' In the afternoon we enjoy a scenic drive through the Yorkshire Dales via Bolton Abbey and Blubberhouses to Harrogate for our 2-night stay.

Saturday

Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations. With free time to discover its handsome historic buildings and verdant gardens, why not indulge in an antiques hunt or visit the luxurious Turkish baths. Enjoy afternoon tea at the famous Betty's tearoom and then enjoy a stroll through the floral Valley Gardens… The day is yours to enjoy!

Sunday

A full day excursion to the historic City of York. Within this beautiful city over 2000 years of history are packed into its compact space. York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe, welcomes over 2 million visitors a year, to walk under its gothic archway & admire the dizzyingly high ceilings, 128 striking stained-glass windows, or to climb Central Tower for the awe-inspiring views over the city. Visit some of the many famous museums within the city's wall including the Jorvik Viking Centre or the National Railway Museum. Stroll through the Shambles, with is vast array of craft & gift shops, restaurants, clothing and sweet shops before making yourself at home in one of the charming tea rooms...... York is just a great place to be!
We return home late afternoon.

Located in the centre of Harrogate, it is set in 8 acres of beautiful grounds. Restaurant, lounge/bar. Leisure facilities include a health club, indoor swimming pool. The locality around the hotel is generally level with very few steps. There is a slight incline when walking into the town centre. This hotel has a lift to all floors.
