Sunday

We travel south, arriving at our hotel during the afternoon. Relax, settle in and enjoy a drinks reception before our first delicious evening meal.

Monday

After breakfast we travel to St. Erth where we board the local train for the short journey to St. Ives. Here we discover one of Cornwall’s best loved resorts with its cobbled streets, winding alleyways, historic harbour and quaint fisherman’s cottages. A mecca for artists for many years, the town is home to the Tate Gallery St. Ives

Tuesday

We visit Porthleven – a historic and picturesque fishing harbour overlooking Mounts Bay. We continue to Marazion, set on the shores of Mount Bay with its clean sandy beaches and stunning views towards Lizards Peninsula. Here, the more energetic can visit St. Michael’s Mount, alternatively, why not relax and soak up one of the finest views in the country. We return to our hotel in the afternoon for a cream tea.

Wednesday

This Morning our excursion takes us to St. Mawes, situated on the Roseland Peninsula. A picturesque harbour with whitewashed houses is guarded by Henry VIII’s cloverleaf shaped St. Mawes Castle. Later we visit
Trelissick Garden (NT). Situated on a peninsula with commanding magnificent views over the Fal Estuary, Trelissick surely has one of the best natural settings of any estate in the country. There are 30 acres of garden to explore, with a fine collection of hydrangeas, rhododendrons and ginger lilies, together with woodland plants and herbaceous borders that provide year-round colour and interest.

Thursday

After breakfast we depart our hotel, returning home in the afternoon.
