Monday

Departing Henley we journey south to Kent, arriving at our hotel during the afternoon.

Tuesday

Today we head to Canterbury with free time to explore the historic city, famed for its medieval buildings, quaint tea shops and magnificent
cathedral.

Wednesday

We start our day at the grand Walmer Castle and Gardens, near Deal, learning more about the fascinating history of the castle and its former famous residents, including the Duke of Wellington. We also enjoy a
guided tour of the magnificent eightacre gardens. This afternoon we travel along the coast road down to the beautiful Samphire Hoe nature reserve. Home to some of the best views in Kent, we enjoy a welcome talk and set off on a guided walk.

Thursday

This morning we make tracks for the Kent & East Sussex Railway to embark on a one-way steam train journey from Bodiam to Tenterden. This afternoon is spent at Great Dixter House & Gardens.

Friday

Homeward bound.
