Sun 30 Jun

CRUISING NORDFJORD & INNVIKFJORD - The sixth longest Norwegian fjord, and one of the most picturesque, Nordfjord stretches from mainland Norway's westernmost point to the magnificent Jostedalsbreen, Europe's largest inland glacier. The ocean entrance to the fjord is relatively flat, with low-lying lands and smooth beaches, but as you venture deeper, the landscapes become taller and isolated villages appear amongst a panorama of lush valleys, mighty cliffs and soaring alpine mountains.

Sun 30th Jun

OLDEN - Located at the eastern end of the Nordfjord where it divides into three arms beneath the glaciers of the Jostedalsbreen, the charming village of Olden sits among green meadows, towering cliff faces, and sparkling glacial waters. In the centre of the village is the Old Church; and just a short journey away is the Briksdal Glacier, formed thousands of years ago, while still breath-taking, has retreated some 859m in the last century, a stark reminder of the effects of climate change.

Mon 1 Jul

KRISTIANSUND - Often referred to as the Atlantic City, due to its close proximity to one of the world's most scenic roadways, the Atlantic Road, Kristiansund is home to much of Norway’s most iconic modern architecture. The Atlantic Road is a true feat of engineering, offering breath-taking scenery and culture at every point, as it snakes over a series of small islands, spanned by a total of eight bridges.

Tue 2 Jul

ÅNDALSNES - Åndalsnes is often referred to as the 'Alp town by the fjord'. Located at the mouth of the Rauma River, and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the town is in one of the most scenic areas of Norway, and a natural starting point for forest walks and hikes to magnificent viewpoints. The Rauma Railway is considered to be one of the best railway routes in Europe, since it was constructed 100 years ago.

Tue 2nd Jul

CRUISING ROMSDALFJORDEN & ISFJORDEN - One of the longest, and cleanest fjords in Norway, Romsdalsfjorden is framed by the majestic peaks and waterfalls of the Romsdalsalpene Mountains, which tower over lush green valleys and charming waterside villages. The fjord village of Isfjorden is situated at the innermost part of the fjord, and has an unspoilt charm - surrounded by some of Norway’s most famous natural landmarks, such as Romsdalshorn and Trollveggen.

Wed 3 Jul

CRUISING PAST SEVEN SISTERS WATERFALL - The Seven Sisters are among the most photographed waterfalls of Norway's UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. No less than seven waterfalls descend into the fjord, with an average fall of around 250 metres (820 feet) and the water level is dependent on snow thaw and precipitation. Legend has it that the Seven Sisters were all unmarried, and the waterfall on the other side of the fjord has been called 'The Suitor' after several unsuccessful attempts to court the sisters.

Wed 3rd Jul

HELLESYLT - The village of Hellesylt is located at the head of the Sunnylvsfjord, close to the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains and lush green fields. Flowing through the village is the Hellesyltfossen waterfall, where water cascades down over the granite rocks into the fjord below. Best known for its outstanding scenery, Hellesylt is close to Hornindal Lake, said to be home to a legendary sea serpent.

Wed 3 July

CRUISING BY STRANDAFJELLET MOUNTAIN - Located east of Alesund, Strandafjellet Mountain is widely regarded as one of Scandinavia’s greatest skiing locations and has been voted in the top ten places to visit by the Norwegians themselves. Soaring high into the clouds above the fjord, Strandafjellet is a perfect example of Norway’s natural beauty, overlooking the 110km long Storfjord.
