RHS Flower show at Tatton Park, RHS Bridgewater

We drive to Salford for a visit to RHS Bridgewater Garden. Named after the historic Bridgewater Canal which runs adjacent to the site, these gardens are set in the grounds of the former estate of the First Earl of Ellesmere.
Designed by leading landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith, highlights include one of the largest walled gardens in the UK, beautifully landscaped grounds, lakes and woodland, living plant collections and horticultural trails. From here we continue to our hotel for dinner and our 2-night stay.

With a whole host of amazing gardens to see, design tips, shopping and growing inspiration, the RHS Flower Show Tatton Parkshould be a must-do event in the calendar of who has an interest in anything horticultural. This
is one of the most popular Flower Shows organised by the Royal Horticultural Society and promises to be an inspiration for those with green fingers or those simply looking for an interesting and exciting trip away. You can also surround yourself in flawless florals and shop from some of the UK’s finest growers at the Floral Marquee and Plant Village.

Saturday

After breakfast discover historic Chester, one of England's best preserved medieval cities. As well as walking the Roman walls and marvelling at the Norman cathedral, here you'll find the medieval Rows, a uniquely tiered series of shops on covered levels that combine to make the city's most famous landmark. We return homeward during the midafternoon.
