Walk as monks once would have in the largely unchanged and still overwhelmingly monastic estate, boasting the Centenary Fountain, the highest in the country. We return to our hotel via the charming town of Glastonbury, with its lovely array of independent shops and cafes.

Day 3

A day at leisure to relax and enjoy Wells. There is a lot to keep you occupied, not least the incredible cathedral, and we also include a visit to the Bishop's Palace, home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years and now open to the public. There are also 14 acres of RHS Partner gardens to explore

Day 4

Today is a full day in Regency Bath with free time to explore the wonderful ambience, healing waters and Georgian architecture. Bath was the thriving social scene that set the stage for Jane Austen's Persuasion and Northanger Abbey. Admire the honey-coloured facades featured in Jane Austen's letters and novels, and also in works like Bridgerton, Les Miserables and Sherlock, not least the iconic Royal Crescent. Wrap up the day at the Jane Austen Centre, where's you will uncover how life in this elegant city shaped her insights into society, inspiring themes of class and social expectations that still captivate readers today.

Day 5

After breakfast we commence our return home, arriving during the afternoon.
