Here is a once in a lifetime chance to holiday on an island quite unlike anywhere else in the UK. To compliment our tour, we also include a 2-night stay in Edinburgh. Scotlands capital, where at its centre is the Royal Mile, a remarkable street of Reformation-era tenement buildings leading from the seat of Edinburgh Castle on Castle Rock down to the grandiose Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Thursday 11th
After an early start, we travel north to Scotland with an overnight stop at the 4-star Holiday Inn East Kilbride.
Friday
Departing after breakfast we visit Glamis Castle, the splendid childhood home of Her Majesty the Queen Mother. We continue in the afternoon to Aberdeen where
we board the overnight Northlink Ferry sailing to Shetland.
Saturday
After breakfast we disembark the ferry and meet our local, experienced guide for a tour of the Northern Isles – Yell and Unst. We pause for a photo-stop at
Sullom Voe then cross to Yell, with entry to the Old Haa Museum, Burravoe. We cross to Unst with its many beautiful beaches and continue to Haroldswick (Light lunch
included) before visits to the Unst Heritage Centre and the Boat Haven. We return with photo stops at Skidbladner – a replica Viking Long Ship and the renown Unst Bus
Shelter before checking into our hotel around 6.00pm.
Sunday
Today we enjoy a southern coastal tour. We commence with a visit to the Croft House Museum and continue to Jarlsof for a tour of the archaeological site. After a
brief photo stop at Sumburgh Head RSPB Reserve we return to Lerwick for free time, followed by two afternoon visits to Carol’s Ponies and the Scalloway Museum.
Monday
Travelling via Voe and Brae, we view the spectacular offshore sea stacks of ‘Drongs.’ We continue with views of the
Eshaness Light House before entry to the Tangwick Haa Museum. We include a light lunch before returning to Lerwick for our
evening sailing to Aberdeen.
Tuesday
After breakfast, disembark the ship and take the coastal road south to Perth where we visit Scone Palace – The original
home of the legendary Stone of Destiny, Scone Palace is spectacular and contains a superb collection of French furniture,
delicate china and valuable treasures. From here we continue to the Doubletree by Hilton Queensferry for our final 2-night stay.
Wednesday
Today, a local coach & driver will transfer us to Edinburgh, Scotland’s historic capital where the majestic castle
towers over the whole city. Today we are free to explore this great city at leisure.
Thursday 18th
Homeward bound.
Lying just a 10 minutes' away from East Kilbride town centre, this 4-star property is well located for our overnight stay. The guest rooms are stylish and comfortable and are equipped with all of todays modern amenities. Restaurant, lounge/bar. Lift access to all floors.
Northlink Ferries operate modern ships carrying 600 passengers with shops, restaurant, bars and a cinema on board. All cabins are 2-berth ensuite.
The 3-star Shetland Hotel has 64 spacious rooms and is located near the ferry terminal in Lerwick. The hotel has a lift and 2 restaurants.
This 4-star hotel is over the Firth of Forth, north of Edinburgh, one mile from the new North Queensferry crossing bridge with panoramic views across the river and 30 minutes from the centre of the city. The hotel offers 147 well-appointed bedrooms with a mix of walk-in showers and showers over the bath. Guests will encounter the occasional step in the accommodation area. There is a lift to all floors and there are 25 bedrooms located on the ground floor. The Shore Restaurant and bar has stunning views.
All hotels are varied in style and standards, but all rooms offer full-en-suite facilities. Travellers should consider the fact that they will often be in beautiful, yet isolated locations where hotel availability is extremely limited. All have restaurant, bar & lounge.
Mobility Grade: 2 This is a touring holiday and although most of the sightseeing is from the comfort of our coach, there are ferries to board and three different hotels, along with steps and stairs to negotiate. Please note that due to the nature of this holiday, customers with mobility difficulties may be limited in their enjoyment.
