This excellent tour is based at the wonderful Central Sporthotel in Davos. We include a journey on the breathtaking Bernina Express railway from Filisur, high into the alps and past lakes and glaciers to travel across the border to Tirano, Italy. Also included in Davos is a ‘Davos/Klosters Card’ which provides discounts on local transport, cable cars and mountain railways – perfect for when you have your day at leisure!

Saturday 13th

We drive to Dover for the short Channel crossing to Calais. Upon arrival, we continue to the Mercure Hotel, Metz
Centre for dinner and our overnight stay.

Sunday 14th

Continue into Switzerland to the popular high Alpine resort of Davos, for a 5-night stay.

Monday 15th

A full day at leisure. The included ‘Davos/Klosters Card’ provides discounted travel on local transport and we suggest a
trip on the Schatzalp Mountain Railway for lunch in the panoramic restaurant followed by a visit to the Alpine Garden.

Tuesday 16th

Travel to Klosters, winter holiday destination for the Royal Family, and then on to Chur. This charming, historic town
has cobbled streets, secret courtyards and a large cathedral. After free time for exploring, we return to Davos via Thusis and
Frauenkirch.

Wednesday 17th

We take the local train from Davos to Filisur using the Davos Card, then board the Bernina Express Railway and
travel to Italy. See lakes, gorges and glaciers as well as a series of loops and tunnels that make this one of Europe’s greatest
train journeys. In Tirano rejoin the coach and return to Davos via the Bernina Pass.

Thursday 18th

A morning excursion to St. Moritz. Elegant and chic, it lies in the middle of a lake-dotted landscape and offers one of
the sunniest climates in all of Switzerland. Return to Davos for an afternoon at leisure.

Friday 19th

Depart Davos and travel on to Metz in France arriving in time for dinner and our overnight stay at the Mercure Metz
Centre.

Saturday 20th

Departing Metz, we return to Calais for our sailing to Dover, returning to
Henley during the evening.

An elegant 4-star hotel with an excellent central, yet quiet, position in the centre of Davos Platz. 97 comfortable and spacious bedrooms are equipped with balconies. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and indoor pool.
