The Kent County Show is the regions showcase event for farming, agriculture and countryside life. For three days a year, animals, horses, vintage vehicles, retail stands and much more converge on the stunning surroundings of the Kent Showground for a celebration of the best in the county. We compliment our visit with a visit to Chartwell House (NT), the former home of the great stateman, Sir Winston Churchill.

Journeying south we visit picturesque Henley-on-Thames. Nesting in the heart of the South Oxfordshire countryside, Henley-on-Thames is a charming town that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, historic significance and cultural richness. After lunch we continue to our hotel for our 2-night stay.
Friday
For those who have never attended the Show before, the Kent County Show is a showcase event for farming, countryside and rural life with over 400 exhibitors and trade stands and over 300 competitions, activities and displays. Experience a more hands on Show with access to the cattle marquee, shire stables on site, flower and woodland craft workshops, cookery demonstrations, live music and the Food and Farming education area. Organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society, a registered charity whose mission is to support local farming practices and promote education about food farming and the countryside. Profits made from the Show help fund their charitable objectives, including their annual scholarship scheme, awards and grants.
Saturday
Departing after breakfast, we visit Chartwell House (NT) - Chartwell was Sir Winston Churchill's home throughout much of his adult life and it is now a museum where the rooms and gardens remain virtually untouched from when the day he lived there. We return home during the afternoon.
A charming four-star hotel in Rochester, Bridgewood Manor is the perfect destination for visitors who wish to explore scenic Kent. Restaurant, bar/lounge, outdoor patio area, leisure club & spa with indoor swimming pool. Level entrance, easy access throughout. Lift to all floors, with 2 purpose built disabled rooms on the ground floor.
