Monday

We travel to the West Country,
making a suitable stop for lunch
en-route and arrive at our hotel during
the early afternoon.

Tuesday

We travel to Topsham for a
delightful cruise on the River Exe followed
by a scenic rail journey. Once a thriving
port, Topsham is now a pretty maritime
town with a mix of fascinating architecture,
from 17th and 18th century Dutch style
merchants' houses to antique tea shops
and pubs. We continue to Exmouth – a
lively town with 2 miles of golden sands
where the Exe meets the sea.

Wednesday

A local guide will join us for a full day excursion through the
beautiful scenery of Dartmoor.
Guides will have their preferred routes
and stopping points but the tour will
include the ancient market town of
Tavistock, an opportunity to view
Buckfast Abbey (cost not included)
and hopefully views of the lovely wild
ponies for which Dartmoor is famous.

Thursday

A day at leisure in Torquay.

Friday

Homeward Bound.

Majestically overlooking Meadfoot Beach and the sea, set on the headland, the Headland is around 15 minutes’ walk to the Beach and Centre. Originally built for the Romanoff’s, the Russian Royal Family, this is an excellent seaside hotel with good food and a choice menu, dining at leisure and 2-night entertainment. All bedrooms are en-suite and have television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Bars, restaurant, lounge area, gardens and spa & hydro pools.
