Day 1

Join us as we head to the Crich Tramway Museum. Ride the trams, enjoy the period village scene including pub and shops and indoor exhibitions. Enjoy the breathtaking views across the Derwent Valley before we continue to our hotel for our 4-night stay.

Day 2

Today we visit the picturesque village of Eyam and its museum. We continue over the ‘High Peaks’ via Hathersage to Castleton. Our scenic drive continues as we view Ladybower Reservoir, famous for its connection as the ‘training ground’ for the legendary ‘Dambusters’, returning over ‘Snake Pass’.

Day 3

We visit the market town of Ashbourne before enjoying a nostalgic return train ride on the Churnet Valley Railway with afternoon cream tea included. We continue over the glorious Staffordshire Moorlands via Ramshaw Rocks to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4

This morning we visit Bakewell, a historic town famous for its Puddings, before continuing to Chatsworth House - the magnificent home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire - a treasure trove of masterpieces in art. The rooms and halls are truly breathtaking as are the glorious, landscaped gardens.

Day 5

A morning at leisure in Buxton, where attractions include the historical pump room and the Pavilion Gardens. We return home during the afternoon.
