The Loire Valley Royal Legacy Classic is a 5-day river cruise that takes passengers through the heart of the Loire Valley. The cruise departs from Nantes and travels south to Ancenis, stopping at some of the most iconic chateaux in the region, including Brissac, Angers, and Saumur. Passengers also can visit the Machines of the Isle of Nantes, a gallery that recreates the imaginary world of the famous writer Jules Verne and admire the shipyard and the Escal'Atlantic in Saint-Nazaire.

Saturday 28th

We head for Dover and the short sea crossing to France, continuing to Rouen for dinner and our overnight at the Novotel Rouen-Sud.

Sunday 29th

We continue to Nantes, where we are welcomed on-board our ship at 6.00pm. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will meet the crew over a welcome cocktail before dinner. The ship then sails towards Saint-Nazaire.

Monday 30th

Todays optional Excursions include a tour of Saint Nazaire – Visit Escal'Atlantic, a museum that explores the historic ocean liner experience, and the Saint Nazaire shipyard, one of the largest shipyards in Europe (This excursion must be booked in advance) In the evening, join us on an optional excursion for a cruise on the Erdre River, one of the most beautiful in France. Our ship sails to Nantes.

Tuesday 1st

There are a number of optional excursions opportunities today including a Guided tour of Nantes and the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany. Nantes and the Machines de l’Île including the cities secret courtyards and covered passageways. In the afternoon there is a classic Muscadet Wine Route excursion or for the more adventurous a helicopter ride over the Loire Valley.(Excursions must be booked in advance). Our ship sails to Ancenis.

Wednesday 2nd

We cruise towards Chalonnes-sur-Loire. Join us for the optional excursions to Angers or the Brissac Castle with its cellars, complete with a wine tasting session. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Thursday 3rd

Join us on a full day included excursion to discover the Castles of the Loire Valley. Morning: visit to château d'Azay-le-Rideau. Lunch : meal at Villandry. Afternoon: visit to the gardens and interior of Château de Villandry much more famous than Chateau d’Ussé. Tonight's our gala dinner and evening. Our ship will start sailing towards Nantes.

Friday 4th

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast before disembarking at 10.00am, where we continue by coach to Caen for dinner and overnight accommodation at the Novotel Caen Cote de Nacre.

Saturday 5th

To Calais and homeward bound.

The stylish Loire Princess has 48 cabins all located on Decks 1 and 2. The Upper Deck has 30 cabins with sliding panoramic windows and the Main Deck has 18 Cabins with High Windows. Amenities include TV * Bathroom with shower and toilet * Towels * Safe * Independent air-conditioning * Electricity 220V * Wi-Fi. The restaurant is located on the Main Deck and offers panoramic views, where the atmosphere is casual but elegant. Other facilities include Lounge/bar with dance floor, gift shop, sun deck and library.
